Remnants Tear Ministries International

Joel 3: 28,29,32

28. And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

29. And also upon the servants and upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out My Spirit.

32. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call.

Isaiah 11:11a

11. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people….

RTMI is the heart cry of it’s founder, Randy J. Simmons. RTMI is an outreach focused, evangelistic ministry that utilizes music, teaching/preaching, drama, written works, spiritual counseling and the gifts of the Sprit to present the gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost generation. Randy is the founder of RTMI and has been involved in ministry for over twenty-five years. He is the youngest of four boys born to James and Imogene Simmons, ministers for nearly sixty years.

Over his lifetime he has composed, performed, and recorded music, written five musicals, eight books, numerous teaching materials and recently published a diet program. He has spoken throughout Washington, Missouri, Illinois, California, and parts of British Columbia.

“I have lived and experienced the life of the prodigal child,” Randy says, “I know that God’s mercy is never ending and He has come and set this captive free. I saw God run to me. I felt His mercy and grace at my deepest moments.”

Randy is not afraid to address these area of his life. Struggling with subjects like pornography, addiction, obesity, suicide, and divorce are things that he feels need to be addressed in the church. He knows that God can set us free from them. This is the boldness that is found and preached in the ministry of RTMI. Through all of these experiences God has birthed a passion of the body of Christ. It has been the inspiration for books, teachings, songs, and ministry. RTMI was birthed through all of this.

Remnants Tear Ministries International is not just another ministry group. We are not seeking to become just another one of the many so-called ministries that come along the way. We believe that God has called us to this final generation with a fresh word of healing, deliverance, grace, and mercy. We have taken up the mantel of the weeping prophet for these last days. It may not be popular but Jesus didn’t win any popularity contests, neither did any of the prophets of scripture.

“It is time for someone who has the guts to speak the unpopular word,” Randy says, “It is time for another Elijah to step up and be the prophet, to stop being politically correct and be bold for God.”

Who Do We Seek To Reach?

The heart of RTMI is to reach the “unlovely”. But who might these people really be? Over the last thirty or so years, Randy has seen many people who have been “burned” by the church. “These people have given up on the traditional church. They have been hurt, abused, or just forgotten by the average church because of their financial, marital, social, or cultural situation.”

RTMI feels that these wounded and forgotten are the field of white that Christ talks about. RTMI believes that Christ has sent them to reach out to those bound by strongholds of addiction, abuse, emotional, physical, and spiritual issues.

RTMI has found that one of the most prevalent destructive forces in the body of Christ today is pornography. Sadly, this addiction has attacked the very leadership within the body of Christ. Many preachers, teachers, and evangelists have confessed to being under the control of this bondage.

Our burden is that these men and women of God have no refuge of healing. They often face criticism and rejection from those people that should be helping them. RTMI wants to be that place of healing.

Our Tools of Ministry

RTMI has reached beyond the place of a limited ministry. We feel that God desires for us to utilize every gift that He has empowered us with. Therefore we have established branches within our RTMI umbrella. With each of these branch ministries we hold to the same goal of our ministry vision. This vision being “To Reach The World With The Power Of God’s Word.”

Tear Drop Music:

RTMI has put the line in the sand and said that ministry is primary. With Tear Drop Music they have allowed the musician and ministry a more powerful voice in decision making.

Some of the other areas of teaching that we have established will include accounting, advertising, stage presence, performance, voice, instrumentation, costuming, theatre, lighting, sound and more.

Tear Drop Music will be the first to introduce the band TEAR which has already begun to build a solid following. With lead vocals by none other than Randy and instrumentation by close friends and his oldest son Nathan. Randy has brought his writing to life reaching the lost with the truth of Scripture.

Tear Drop Publications:

RTMI has opened the door for Christian writers that desire to write their heart. They have established a method for the writer to venture into new and innovative genres. We are setting a goal to publish a collection of new authors within the next three years.

RTMI has also set a goal to establish a new comic publication. Current technology has made a way for us to publish this material in a high quality format and make it available faster. This media can help us reach people within sub-cultures that have never been exposed to the gospel. These sub-cultures have too often been abandoned.

The Weeping Prophet:

Ten years ago, Randy was wakened from sleep and felt God pulling him deep into the spirit realm. As he stepped through the veil, God began to show him things that he had never seen before. Randy feels that God showed him a glance into the coming events in our world.

RTMI has chosen to make this material available to those supporters that would like to receive them. We are asking that they read through all the material and give us their own personal insight into the visions.

Within the next few years RTMI will be also beginning to publish a monthly newsletter that will keep supporters current on world events. Our writers will be compiling current events and paralleling them with prophetic scripture and relating them to how they will effect the church.

Something that has been a burden on the hearts of RTMI is the mission field both in the United States and abroad. RTMI will be birthing over the coming months a series of mission trips.

One of the first will be in the country of India. We are planning to set our vision to meet with and minister in the city and outskirts of Mumbai.

We also hope to set a trip for the Northwest where we will join family and friends for a trip to Vancouver, B.C. in hopes to establish a mission outpost. Although the country of Canada is not as rural as India Randy knows that the hostility to the gospel is very evident.

Our Beliefs:

RTMI holds to a set of core beliefs supported with scripture. It would take more than this simple web site to explain each and every one of them. So we have chosen to summarize these core ministry

1. We believe the Bible is God breathed.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 Amplified Bible (AMP)

16Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God's will in thought, purpose, and action), 17So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2. We believe that it provides the path to salvation through the Son of God, Jesus Christ

Romans 10:10-13 Amplified Bible (AMP)

10For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation. 11The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him [who adheres to, relies on, and trusts in Him] will [ever] be put to shame or be disappointed. 12[No one] for there is no distinction between Jew and Greek. The same Lord is Lord over all [of us] and He generously bestows His riches upon all who call upon Him [in faith]. 13For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord [invoking Him as Lord] will be saved.

3. We believe that we are in a battle with the enemy of Christ, Satan.

Ephesians 6:10-13 New International Version (NIV)

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

4. We believe that this battle has been won when Christ died on the cross of Calvary.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5New American Standard Bible (NASB)

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, 4 for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. 5 We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,

5. We believe that this price provided a means for man to have an eternal relationship with God.

Hebrews 9:11-15 Amplified Bible (AMP)

11But [that appointed time came] when Christ (the Messiah) appeared as a High Priest of the better things that have come and are to come. [Then] through the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with [human] hands, that is, not a part of this material creation, 12He went once for all into the [Holy of] Holies [of heaven], not by virtue of the blood of goats and calves [by which to make reconciliation between God and man], but His own blood, having found and secured a complete redemption (an everlasting release for us). 13For if [the mere] sprinkling of unholy and defiled persons with blood of goats and bulls and with the ashes of a burnt heifer is sufficient for the purification of the body, 14How much more surely shall the blood of Christ, Who by virtue of [His] eternal Spirit [His own preexistent divine personality] has offered Himself as an unblemished sacrifice to God, purify our consciences from dead works and lifeless observances to serve the [ever] living God? 15[Christ, the Messiah] is therefore the Negotiator and Mediator of an [entirely] new agreement (testament, covenant), so that those who are called and offered it may receive the fulfillment of the promised everlasting inheritance--since a death has taken place which rescues and delivers and redeems them from the transgressions committed under the [old] first agreement.

6. We also believe that Christ sent the Comforter, the Third person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit to indwell the believer and empower him.

Ephesians 1:13-17 Amplified Bible (AMP)

13In Him you also who have heard the Word of Truth, the glad tidings (Gospel) of your salvation, and have believed in and adhered to and relied on Him, were stamped with the seal of the long-promised Holy Spirit. 14That [Spirit] is the guarantee of our inheritance [the first fruits, the pledge and foretaste, the down payment on our heritage], in anticipation of its full redemption and our acquiring [complete] possession of it--to the praise of His glory. 15For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints (the people of God), 16I do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers. 17[For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him,

7. We believe that soon Christ will return to take His children home with Him.

Philippians 1:3-11 Amplified Bible (AMP)

3I thank my God in all my remembrance of you. 4In every prayer of mine I always make my entreaty and petition for you all with joy (delight). 5[I thank my God] for your fellowship (your [a]sympathetic cooperation and contributions and partnership) in advancing the good news (the Gospel) from the first day [you heard it] until now. 6And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you. 7It is right and appropriate for me to have this confidence and feel this way about you all, because [b]you have me in your heart and I hold you in my heart as partakers and sharers, one and all with me, of grace (God's unmerited favor and spiritual blessing). [This is true] both when I am shut up in prison and when I am out in the defense and confirmation of the good news (the Gospel). 8For God is my witness how I long for and [c]pursue you all with love, in the tender mercy of Christ Jesus [Himself]! 9And this I pray: that your love may abound yet more and more and extend to its fullest development in knowledge and all keen insight [that your love may [d]display itself in greater depth of acquaintance and more comprehensive discernment], 10So that you may surely learn to sense what is vital, and approve and prize what is excellent and of real value [recognizing the highest and the best, and distinguishing the moral differences], and that you may be untainted and pure and unerring and blameless [so that with hearts sincere and certain and unsullied, you may approach] the day of Christ [not stumbling nor causing others to stumble]. 11May you abound in and be filled with the fruits of righteousness (of right standing with God and right doing) which come through Jesus Christ (the Anointed One), to the honor and praise of God [[e]that His glory may be both manifested and recognized].

8. We believe that until that moment it is the commission of the Body of Christ to preach Word to the lost.

Mark 16:15-20 Amplified Bible (AMP)

15And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news (the Gospel) to every creature [of the whole [a]human race]. 16He who believes [who adheres to and trusts in and relies on the Gospel and Him Whom it sets forth] and is baptized will be saved [[b]from the penalty of eternal death]; but he who does not believe [who does not adhere to and trust in and rely on the Gospel and Him Whom it sets forth] will be condemned. 17And these attesting signs will accompany those who believe: in My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages; 18They will pick up serpents; and [even] if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will get well. 19So then the Lord Jesus, after He had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and He sat down at the right hand of God. 20And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord kept working with them and confirming the message by the attesting signs and miracles that closely accompanied [it]. Amen (so be it).
